Kilkenny To Meet Cork In Allianz Hurling League Final

Kilkenny secured their place in the the Allianz HL Division One final with a storming second-half performance winning on a final score line of 1-20 to 0-14 and will now face Cork, who defeated Tipperary, in the final in a fortnight’s time. Clare competed well with Kilkenny in the first half, but the gap between the divisions was all too apparent in the second period as Kilkenny took their opponents apart.

Minors lose out to Dublin

Dublin proved too strong for Kilkenny in yesterday’s Leinster minor hurling final played in Croke Park yesterday.  Dublin seemed physically dominant over Kilkenny and opened strongly registering three points in the first 10 minutes one from Glenn Whelan and two from Paul Winters.The Kilkenny mentors switched Kevin Kelly, to centre-forward, and the star of last year’s side helped Kilkenny back into contention. The breeze seemed to favour the Dubs slightly, but their shooting from distance was inaccurate

Kilkenny Secure Third Win In Allianz Hurling League

Kilkenny made it three wins from three games in the Allianz Hurling League following today’s victory over Wexford in Nowlan Park. Goals from TJ Reid and James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick saw them establish a 2-9 to 0-6 interval lead and while Wexford, improved after the break and made Kilkenny work to the finish they never looked like winning the game.
