Ballyhale Shamrock's last ditch effort in Sunday's senior semi-final was just enough to deny Erin's Own a spot in the final and it set up a date next Sunday in Nowlan Park with Bennettsbridge in the senior final. The Senior Final will have a throw-in time of 3pm and will be preceeded by the Michael Lyng Motors Hynudai Intermediate Final which sees Tullaroan face near neighbours and rivals Graigue-Ballycallan at 1pm. Both contests will be hotly contested and no team will give an inch. Tickets for the games will go on sale on Monday in the usual Centra and Supervalu outlets.
Kilkenny County Board in association with KCLR will host 'Up for the Match' in Bar 67, Langtons, John Street Kilkenny on Friday evening Oct 26th. The event will start at 6pm and will be live on air from 6.30pm to 8pm. Both Senior and Intermediate finalist clubs have been informed and their is an open invitation on the night for club members and supporters to kick off the 'Finals' weekend previewing the game and chatting to near and dear rivals. All welcome.

Dunnamaggin claimed the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Championship with a five point win over Piltown in Nowlan Park on Sunday. Dunnamaggin started the stronger and held a commanding lead early in the first half but Piltown clawed their way back into the game, in the end it wasn’t enough and Dunnamaggin will compete in the Intermediate grade in 2019.

St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Final
Bennettsbridge have claimed the first spot in the 2018 senior final thanks to a five point win over Clara in Nowlan Park on Sunday. The second berth will be filled on Sunday next (Oct 21st) when Erin's Own fresh from their win over James Stephens on Saturday face Ballyhale Shamrocks, that game has a throw-in time of 3-45pm in Nowlan Park. The senior final will be played on Sunday Oct 28th at 3pm.
Tickets for the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Final and the St Canice’s Credit Union S/F on Sunday next are on sale now at all usual Centra and Supervalu outlets.
Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Final
Graigue-Ballycallan and their near neighbours Tullaroan will face off in the intermediate final which is also fixed for Nowlan Park on Oct 28th, throw-in time 1pm. Graigue-Ballycallan overcame Tullogher Rosbercon on Saturday in Nowlan Park by three points, the scoreboard reading 0-14 to 0-11 at the full time whistle. Sunday saw Tullaroan overcome St Lachtain's, in a game that ebbed and flowed for long periods, Tullaroan eventually did enough to claim the second intermediate spot despite conceding a penatly in the final quarter which St Lachtain's couldn't capitalise on.
JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Final
Piltown and Dunnamaggin will contest the junior final on Sunday next at 1-45pm in Nowlan Park. Both teams will be pulling out all the stops between now and next Sunday to secure the right the play in the Intermediate grade next year.

Kilkenny Under-16 Footballers will play Carlow in the 2nd round of the Fr. Manning Cup on Monday night at the Carlow GAA, Centre of Excellence, Fenagh. Bus leaves Woodies Car Park at 5:45. Throw in 7:30pm. Click below for full panel details.
