Carrickshock were hugely impressive winners over a disappointing Ahascragh- Fohenagh team in The AIB Intermediate Club Final in Croke Park on Saturday. The Kilkenny side were always in control and ran out convincing winners 2-15 to 0-6. Richie Power, who at one stage over the past few months thought he may never play again, gave a Man of the Match performance contributing 6 points of his side's total. Picture shows captain John Tennyson inviting Gary Comerford and Jim Rohan to left the cup in the Hogan Stand.

There was a huge Mooncoin presence in Croke Park on Saturday but they came away somewhat disappointed having suffered just a one point loss to a fine Mayfield side in the AIB Junior Final. Mooncoin found themselves 6 points in arrears at one stage but bravely fought back to draw level with time almost up. But an injury time point from Man of the Match Nicky Kelly saw the Cork side home on a final score 2-16 to 1-18. Although obviously disappointed Mooncoin can reflect on a very satisfactory year and look forward to life in the intermediate grade in Kilkenny in 2017.
