The Hurling and Camogie Féile, hosted by Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford, just over a week ago was an outstanding success. The 2017 Féile na nGael sponsored by John West was the largest Féile na nGael ever and the largest sporting event held in Europe this year. In total 684 matches were played over the three days in blistering sunshine. We had a record 176 hurling teams take part and 112 camogie teams.
And this past weekend football teams from all over Ireland descended on Cavan, Fermanagh and Monaghan for the Football equivalent. Pride of place must go to Dicksboro who added the Division 5 Football Title to the Division 1 Hurling title won the previous weekend.
