Condolences
Kilkenny County Board notes with regret the death of Tom Waters. Tom, who was a native of Inistioge played in the 1969 minor All Ireland final with Kilkenny and also in the 1976 and 1977 Kilkenny Couny finals with his club, Rower Inistioge. Condolences
The death has occured of Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Cantwell, sister of Eddie Nolan who is Chairman of the Dublin Branch of the Kilkenny GAA Supporters Club. Kilkenny County Board and Kilkenny GAA Supporters Club would like to extend their sympathy to the Cantwell and Nolan families on their sad loss.

Death of Michael Kelly RIP
Kilkenny County Board notes with regret the death of Michael Kelly of Bennettsbridge. Michael was a noted hurler with his club, Bennettsbridge and his county, Kilkenny. He captained the All Ireland winning Kilkenny team of 1957 when he scored the winning point against Waterford in the All Ireland final. He also won seven county senior hurling championship finals with Bennettsbridge in the 1950's and 1960's.

Funeral Arrangements are as follows: Reposing at Hehir's Funeral Home from 6pm on Friday with Funeral Prayers at 7pm followed by removal to St. Bennett's Church, Bennettsbridge. Funeral on Saturday after 11am requiem mass to the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team.
Martin White RIP
It is with regret that Kilkenny County Board notes the death of Martin White. Martin, who was 102 years old, was Kilkenny's oldest surviving All Ireland Senior Hurling winner. Born in 1909, he was a native of Lacken, near Tullaroan. Martin attended the C.B.S. and St. Kieran's College.
During his hurling career he won three Kilkenny Senior Hurling titles with Tullaroan (1930,'33 and '34) and played on the Kilkenny County senior side from 1931 to 1938 winning three All Ireland titles (1932, '33 and '35) and one Railway Cup medal with Leinster in 1936.
In 2009 on the occasion of Martin's 100th birthday Kilkenny County Board presented Martin with a specially commissioned 2009 All Ireland Senior Hurling medal to mark his centenary and Kilkenny's four in a row All Ireland victory.
