The semi-final battle between O'Loughlin Gaels and Ballyhale Shamrocks for the last spot in the St Canice's Credit Union Final has been fixed for UPMC Nowlan Park this Sunday at 2pm. It promises to be a great game with lots of quality on show. The winners will face James Stephens in the final on Sunday Oct 27th.
The second game of the day on Sunday will be the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Junior Final between O'Loughlin Gaels and Conahy Shamrocks. Both teams are fully deserving of their spots in the final having played some fantastic hurling enroute to the decider. This game has a throw-in of 4pm.
Tickets for the games this Sunday are available in participating Centra and Supervalu stores, we advise patrons to pre-purchase tickets to avoid delays on the day. We also appeal to all patrons attending games in UPMC Nowlan Park to please park responsibly and in designated car parks such as O'Loughlin Gaels, McDonagh Junction, Kilkenny County Council car park off Maudlin Street.
Following all this weekends action, the battle for the Junior, Intermediate and Senior titles is alot clearer. In the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Championship O'Loughlin Gaels overcame Mullinavat on Saturday running out 1-14 to 0-13 winners securing a spot in the second senior semi-final next weekend against Ballyhale Shamrocks who themselves overcame the challenge of Clara on Sunday in Danesfort, the final score in that game was 1-19 to 0-17. This semi-final will be played next weekend and the final is fixed for Sunday Oct 27th.
On Saturday in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Championship Tullaroan overcame Young Irelands on a scoreline of 2-17 to 2-15 to secure a final berth while St Lachtain's came up short against Thomastown, that game finishing 1-21 to 1-10. Both Tullaroan and Thomastown now have their sights fixed on the final which is down for decision on Sunday Oct 27th.
In the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Championship, Conahy Shamrocks were awaiting the winners of Barrow Rangers and O'Loughlin Gaels and it was O'Loughlin Gaels who secured the win in Nowlan Park on Sunday to claim the county final spot, the final score in this game was 4-12 to 1-20.

This weekend will see action from all three Adult grades take place in Kilkenny, with three of the Quarter Finals in the St Canice's Credit Union taking place on Saturday and the fourth one due to take place on Sunday. In the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Championship two replays are down for decision this weeknd, one fixed for Saturday and one on Sunday. Meanwhile one of the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Semi-Final will be played on Sunday in Nowlan Park.
Also scheduled for this weekend is the Senor and Intermediate Relegation finals.
Supporters of Conahy Shamrocks & Slieverue please note that Ardán de Grás will be the only stand open for tomorrow’s JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior S/F.
