St. Pat's Win All Ireland Title
Well done to St. Patrick's Ballyragget on winning the AIB All Ireland Junior Club hurling title in Croke Park this evening. The Bally' Boys became the fourth Kilkenny Junior side to win this title when they defeated Charleville of Cork by a single point 1-13 to 1-12. Whilst the Kilkenny champions were never led it was a very close encounter throughout with the sides level 0-5 apiece at the interval and when Charleville drew level with time almost up it seemed like extra time was on the cards but St. Pat's got the vital score to win.
Less lucky was the the Kilkenny Senior Vocational Schools side which experienced disappointment in the All Ireland final losing out to Galway Vocational Schools in a hard fought game in Thomastown on a 0-12 to 0-8 scoreline today.
