Bord na Mona Walsh Cup Final in Nowlan Park

Tuesday, 31 January 2017 at 12PM

Following their exciting win over neighbours Wexford in the semi-final Kilkenny will now take on Galway in the Bord na Mona Walsh Cup Final in Nowlan Park next Sunday with a 2pm throw in. Admission will be €10 for adults; €5 for students/pensioners and under 16's free. Both Ardan de Gras and Ardan Breathnach will be open for this game. All proceeds go to the Leinster Players hardship fund. Season Tickets are not valid for this fixture.

Kilkenny earned their place in the final with a narrow 0-15 to 0-14 win over Wexford played before a large crowd at a very wet New Ross. Kilkenny can thank goalkeeper Richie Reid for a point blank save in injury time which denied a game Wexford team certain victory. It is now four wins out of four in this early season competition and Kilkenny are sure to be all out to secure the first piece of silverware on offer in 2017.
